SUP State will Provide…
All SUP State tours include paddleboard, paddle, appropriate personal flotation device (PFD), and helmet.
What to wear
For your comfort and safety, SUP State highly recommends that participants wear appropriate dress for moving water, such as swim shirts and shorts. Cotton clothing and bikinis are discouraged. Footwear must be closed-toe and closed heel (Flipflops, sandals, and Crocs are not permitted). Remember your sunscreen!
Bring some water and snacks
We have dry bags available if needed, and guests are welcome to bring a snack. To keep our rivers clean and beautiful for everyone to enjoy, reusable water bottles are encouraged. Please limit the use of disposable packaging and follow the outdoor guideline of “whatever you pack-in, you should pack out” for all trash items.
Don’t forget to sign the waiver
Solo paddlers must be at least 12 years of age. French Broad tour allows riders ages 6-11. All participants are required to sign a waiver prior to participating in any trip or class.
